Code Compliant Solar PV Systems
8 Credit Hrs


This course is intended for journeyman electricians, signing supervisor electricians, limited renewable energy technicians, solar installers, building officials, engineers and designers. Participants will acquire knowledge of NEC and OR specialty code as they relate to PV installations, and the course will aid student’s understanding of requirements and help identify proper installation techniques and design. It will cover disconnection means, wiring methods, structural requirements, best practices, and more. Qualifies for 8 hours of Oregon Electrical Continuing Education Units.

Most classroom courses include hands-on training to help solidify concepts. Also, most of the in person courses are eligible for NABCEP Continuing Education Credits.

Some of the classroom courses include hands-on training to help solidify concepts. Also, most of the in person courses are eligible for NABCEP Continuing Education Credits. 



Hellermann Tyton Webinar Series


This webinar series is intended for solar installers, engineers, inspectors, and solar business owners. It will aid the participant’s understanding of multiple topics including codes and inspection, return on investment, customer concerns, and more. The three trainings will cover Article 690 of the 2014 NEC Code, worst and best practices for wire management, and how weather impacts PV system components.  



Quick Mount PV Training
NABCEP CEU’s (Check Course Title)


Quick Mount’s primary educational mission is to facilitate the adoption of roofing best practices in the solar industry. They provide courses in a variety of formats, including webinars, classroom instruction, and hands-on trainings. Courses are given in both one-hour and two-hour formats, and sometimes combined into a half-day session. All Quick Mount PV classes are eligible for NABCEP Continuing Education Credits (one CEC per hour of training). 



Ironridge Racking Training

Ironridge hosts a variety of live and recorded webinars that cover a range of topics including building requirements, waterproof attachment methods, ground mount foundation types, roof structural considerations, integrated grounding, and more. Courses are given in both one hour and 1 ½ hour formats.

SolarEdge offers a wide variety of webinars and hands-on seminars that cover topics including system design best practices, rapid shutdown demonstrations, site designer walkthroughs, installation best practices, and more. Most classroom courses include hands-on training to help solidify concepts. Also, most of the in person courses are eligible for NABCEP Continuing Education Credits. 



OutBack Power Installer Training Program
12 Hrs NABCEP CEU


The OutBack Power Installer training program is a three day course that will help familiarize and train installers on battery-based PV systems and technologies. The course features hands-on training as well as classroom presentation. It will cover topics such as interfacing with an OutBack Power System, battery basics & safety, programming and field wiring, charge controllers, off-grid system sizing, and more. Class sizes are limited.
